I am a professional and compassionate counsellor who works from my garden room in Shipham (near Cheddar, Somerset) and online.
I have a level 4 diploma in therapeutic counselling, am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), and I follow strict confidentiality and ethical standards.
I am insured, and hold an enhanced DBS certificate.
My approach is warm, inclusive and focused on helping you move forward with clarity and confidence. I’m here to empower you. Together, we can create an environment in which change feels possible.
A person-centred approach is at the heart of my counselling practice. I work to create a solid, trusting relationship between counsellor and client, appreciating everyone’s unique perspective and experiences. Into this, I integrate a range of techniques and theories to tailor our work to your needs.
My garden room is a peaceful, private space in which you can reflect, explore and find a sense of calm.
Counselling sessions are 60 minutes long. In my experience, this extra 10 minutes above the standard 50-minute session gives you the time to unpack your thoughts without feeling rushed.
When we begin working together, we will commit to weekly sessions. You can choose between short-term, time-limited counselling or an open-ended arrangement that lasts as long as you need it to.
We will schedule times to review your progress and evaluate the work that we’re doing together. Our working arrangement may vary to reflect your changing needs during counselling.
I have on-site parking spaces for clients. On confirmation of your first session I will send you a welcome pack including directions.
